Every face gets treated differently
November is here, and I wanted you to hear this month's news from me first... starting with a date change worth knowing. Our Glow & Gratitude party has moved to Sunday, November 8 at 7:00 PM CT, so the whole crew can be together for the Founder unboxing. Same cozy plan, same link... just a better night for it.
I never treat two faces the same, even when they look the same walking in. Because you never know what's going on behind that skin. You don't know their routine. You don't know the products they're using. You don't know if they're washing with hot water, warm water, or lukewarm water. You don't know their diet. Two faces can look alike walking through my door... and need completely different things. All of our skin is different, and all of our skin needs something totally different.
That's also why what works for your friend may not work for you. You could have totally different skin. Dry skin lacks oil, so dry skin needs oil... an oil-based product, a thicker moisturizer. Oily skin doesn't need more oil. Oily skin needs water. And dehydrated skin needs water too... but dehydration isn't a skin type, it's a condition. It sits on top of whatever skin type you actually have.
So what do I actually look at? I look at your tone. I look at your age. I look at your hormones. I look at your history. Do you have sensitivity? Is your barrier impaired? All of those things play a super important role in how I treat skin.
I don't treat a category. I meet the skin in front of me.
